Meaning Of Communication:

 The term communication originated from latin word "communis" which means common. So communication means exchange of ideas, knowledge, feelings, information, etc., from one person to another.
Communication is anything that conveys meaning, that carries a message from one person to another.
Communication is the control of behaviour through descriptive and reinforcing stimuli.

Basic features of Communication:

1. It is a purposeful process which involves sources, messages, channels and receivers.
2. It involves interaction.
3. It occurs everywhere intentionally or unintentionally
4. It is continuous
5. It has content and relational aspect.
6. It is both digital (verbal) and analogic (nonverbal)            

Communication Process: the process has four components:

   a) Sender or Source
   b) Message or Signal
   c) Medium or Channel of communication
   d) Receiver

Types of Communication:

  a) Verbal Communication
  b) Non-verbal Communication
